BIO:
MA 1968, College of Education. Taught elementary school for twenty-two years in her
hometown of Frankfort, retiring 2001. Raised two children: a daughter who is a recent
graduate of MSU College of Human Medicine, and a son who has taken over her deceased
husband's insurance business. Barbara is a member of POMH Auxiliary, P.E.O., Ski
& Spree, Trinity Lutheran Church, and other community organizations. Leisure
activities include golfing, hiking, cross country skiing, and reading. |

BIO:
Joyce is a graduate of Frankfort High School. She earned a BS and MA in Curriculum
and Teaching from MSU. She taught elementary education in Port Huron, MI for thirty
years. While there, she was a board member of the St. Clair County MSU Alumni Club.
She is also an early board member of this club. Her daughter is also an MSU alum.
She and husband Bob (now deceased) retired to their Crystal Lake home in 1993. She
is an elder at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church, volunteers at Benzie Area Christian
Neighbors, is active in P.E.O., plays Mah Jongg, and likes to cook and read in her
"spare time." |

BIO:
I grew up in the central Michigan area. I have a BS in mechanical engineering from
MSU in 68 and a MBA in finance from Western Michigan in 78. I retired from State
Government in 2002. I managed programs in the Department of Public Health and the
Department of Environmental Quality. I volunteer for the Benzonia Public Library,
Benzie Habitat for Humanity, Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy and the Betsie
Valley Trail. I enjoy outdoor activities and an very happy that my family (kids and
grandchildren) live in Michigan. |

Joanne Herban-Snow • CONTACT via EMAIL

BIO:
Joanne was born in Cass City, MI. During her elementary and high school years she
assisted her father in running a dairy farm. She studied business and secretarial
skills at Saginaw Business Institute. In 1966, Joanne started working for Michigan
Bell Telephone Company in Saginaw and while working there met Terry Herban. They
were married in July 1970 and had two children; Mike (Traverse City) and Shawn (West
Bloomfield). They were subsequently blessed with six terrific grandchildren. Both
Terry and Joanne retired from AT&T in the Detroit area in the early 1990's and
moved to their present home on Crystal Lake. Joanne , wanting to return to her farming
roots suggested they build a barn in 2000. For sixteen years they have enjoyed the
Big Red Barn on M-115 and all the activities associated with the farm. Terry passed
away in April 2015. Joanne continues to farm, enjoys numerous church activities and
spending time with her family and friends. She is active in P.E.O. |

Susan Kirkpatrick • CONTACT via EMAIL

BIO:
Susan has a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, an M.A. and B. A. in Education
and a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from M.S.U. She has extensive background in
master planning, construction, and administration of parking systems from being parking
administrator for the State of Michigan, campus planner for Eastern Michigan University,
and parking/transportation for the University of Michigan. She has published extensively
in the field of parking and transportation. Currently retired in Frankfort, Susan
serves on a number of boards and focuses on volunteering. |
